IMAP4 is a new mailbox technology designed so that multiple users can access a single mailbox in an organized manner. It keeps track of messages which have been unread, deleted, etc. This is extremely useful when you need to know what messages have been attended to or not. Many companies, including ECUi, use this feature for large customer support mailboxes which more than one employee will be handling.

iMail’s Web-based calendar allows users to keep secure personal schedules accessible through its remotely accessible Web interface, making it especially attractive to telecommuters and mobile workforces.

Since the Web calendaring function is based on the ICAL standard, it allows users to receive invitations from any compliant client, and recipients can then import the information directly into their calendar.

Users can also take advantage of the calendaring function to schedule reminders for important dates and events such as meetings and appointments or even birthdays and anniversaries.
